MINISTERING HEALING TO THE SICK

 The gift to heal the sick has been deposited in you from the day you are baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Acts 1:8But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come on you: ….

Mark 16:17-18
And these signs shall follow them that believe; ….; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover”.

You need to realise that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are present in you and that there is need to develop them. Many at times you see yourself as not having the gifts because you did not see any physical manifestation of the gift, it takes faith to discover the gift of God, and physical eyes cannot. If you are in the spirit, you will know that you have received it and the scripture proof it.

The gift of healing is the gift that enables God to heal through you and healing is God given gesture to his children, Matt 15:26
“But he answered and said, it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs”.

He always gives this bread through his servants and every other chosen one whom he had baptized with the Holy Ghost.

God heals but uses your hands.

Ps 107:20
“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions”

God is always looking for volunteers to his work. If you are one of them, God is ready to use you to heal his people, just believe you can do it.

You must see yourself as God healing hands before you can achieve success during healing exercise.
Luke 10:19
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you”.

He has promised and his word is truth, if you walk on his word you will surely get the desired result. God never failed and his word will never fail you, just obey and it will be well with you.

 

You must believe God had given you the ability to heal the sick,
James 5:14-15
“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him”.

Don’t see yourself as baby in Christ, always see yourself as an elder in the house of God, the strength of an elder lies in the Holy Ghost. And having baptized in the Holy Ghost you are an elder.

HOW TO MINISTER HEALING TO THE SICK?
Frequent attack by the demons and evil spirits on the people has made the quest for divine healing by believers to be on the increase, the cure for sickness caused by demons and evil spirits has always been an impossible task for most medical Scientist and Doctors, as most of the demons and the evil spirit don’t respond to herbal medicine and other western drugs.

Demons are spirit; herbs and drugs always have less effect on them. The only power that can totally subdue them is the power of Christ. The consciousness of total deliverance through divine healing has called for deep teaching on the act of healing through the miraculous power of Christ.

There is need to study more about the power of Christ and how to use it in the act of healing. The knowledge of his power and the method of healing will enable the act of healing become an easy task for every believers and Ministers, in line of fulfilling the command of our lord Jesus Christ.
“And these signs shall follow them that believe in my name shall they cast out devils;…… They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16 : 17 - 18).

 

HEALING BY COMMANDING:
Commanding, as the name implies, means to order or to exercise authority, over demons or evil spirits, demanding for change of their location.
Rebuking or casting out of demons from human’s body is not order easy as they always refused to go out. Commanding with authority in the name of Jesus is one of the ways to rebuke this evil spirits.
The Bible says:
“That at the mention of the name of Jesus every knee shall bow,…” (Phil 2 : 10)
No devil can stand the name of Jesus, because the name carries power, the name also is power. Devil trembles before the name, demons run whenever they hear the name of “Jesus”.

 

HOW TO COMMAND DEMONS
The book of Mark 16 : 17 – 19 said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover”.

The name of Jesus works for everybody that believe, but will not be quickened in the mouth of sinners, it is for the truly born again Christian, the people that have received and accepted Jesus into their lives. These are the people that have been tagged the sons of God.
“ But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God; even to them that believes on his name.”(John 1 : 12)

If you have been using this name without getting the desired result, check yourself, it might be that you have not yet carried the identification of a child of God.

Below are the steps that will enable you to use this method of healing, (Commanding) successfully.

 

CHRIST MUST BE IN YOU:
It takes demons or evil spirits to see Jesus in you before they can obey your commands. The authority to move them comes through Christ, He is the power, without him, you can do nothing. Jesus said in the book of Luke 10 : 19, that “ I give unto you power”, without him given you the power, there is nothing you can do, that is why he said in the book of John 15 : 4 that “ Abide in me and I in you”,

Expect you abide in him and him in you, you are nowhere. Demons see you like a vessel filled with an acidic substance. The vessel is not dangerous, but the substance inside the vessel. Jesus in you is what demons or evil Spirits fear, and not your mortal body, so a body that is without Christ is like an empty vessel, and if you are empty you are nothing.

 

YOU MUST BE FREE FROM THE EVIL SPIRITS
It is not possible for you to exercise authority over evil spirits, when you too are possessed with an evil spirit. Your body must be clean, sanctified and free from evil spirit before you can successfully cast out demons or evil spirits from someone.
Jesus said in the book of Mark 3: 23: 25 that, “Can devil cast out devil” Else their kingdom will be divided. If you are possessed with an evil spirit, know that you are an agent of the devil. It is he who is in you that you obey, and whom you obey is your master,
‘ye are of your master the devil” John 8 : 44.

You cannot be an agent to the devil, and be fighting against him. The only way to fight against the devil is when you are in possession of the greater power, which is the power of Christ. Take heed, cleanse and purge yourself of any devilish spirit so that the spirit of God can dwell richly in you and use you to fight against the kingdom of darkness (2 Timothy 2 : 21).

 

YOU MUST BE FREE FROM SINS
Sins are the character of the evil. The Bible says,” He that committed sin is of the devil (1 John 3 : 8) you cannot be a servant to the devil and be fighting against him. (Roman 6 : 16). If you are for the devil you cannot be for Christ, and if you are not for Christ, you cannot have power over the devil.

You have to free yourself from sins before Christ can dwell richly in you. He is the power you need to overcome the devil, without Christ, you are nowhere.
The commanding method requires absolute purity before you can achieve better result from it. Many that have use this method without getting the desired result from it, should try to cleanse and purge themselves of sins and evil Spirit, and allow Christ the word of God to dwell richly in them. Jesus is the power, the Bullet, and the weapon to do the work he also is the one that have the power over all evil Spirits and demons? So for you to cast out demons or evil Spirits, it will not be in the absence of Jesus the CHRIST. You need him in you to command and cast out evil Spirits, and to heal all manner of sickness. So make sure that he Jesus dwells in you before you try this method of healing.

 

BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
Other important factor you must take note of is that, Jesus doesn’t walk alone; neither does he do things alone. Whenever you see Jesus, the Spirit of Father is always with him, that is the Holy Spirit of God.

Jesus is the Bullet; While Holy Spirit is the Gun. The Spirit quickens the word to perfect the will of God, as the Gun quickens the Bullet to perfect the will of the shooter. The Bible revealed in the book of Matt. 3 : 16 that, the Spirit descended upon Jesus the word of God. By the river Jordan and the manifestation of this was miracles explosion, Healing for the Sick, Deliverance for the captive, and salvation for mankind.

There is need to have both the holy Spirit and the word in you before you can be called the Christian Soldier. Really Christ brings the Holy Spirit into you after He has cleansed and prepares your body as a temple of God. Christ come first then followed by the Holy Spirit.
“ye will receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you”. (Acts 1 : 8).
Wait patiently until you receive the Holy Ghost, before you try anything like healing or Praying for the sick as the Apostles did.
“And Behold I send the promise of my father upon you, But tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endured with power from on high.” (Luke 24 : 49).

 

LAYING OF HANDS
Healing by laying of hands is the most fastest and effective way of healing throughout ages, it implies healing the sick person by simply laying your hands on him or her .though, this method is recommended only for the elders in the church (James 5:12) because of it adverse implication,

Laying of hands, as the name implies, means to make contact (bodily) with another person, or to join yourself together, which symbolizes spiritual oneness, it means united to share each other’s burden.

(1 Tim. 5:22).’ Lay hands suddenly on no man less ye partake in other man sin’.

Demon manifested
Scientifically it has been proven that heat transfer from hotter body to the cooler body, so also is sickness moves from sickly body to health body. I.e. HIV can be transferred from an HIV patient to another through sexual intercourse (body contacts). Sicknesses are caused by demon (evil spirit). This made the flow of sickness from on body to another so easy.

Malaria is caused by malaria parasites, some stomach related disease has bacteria behind them, while bacteria or virus cause sexual transmitted deceases. Whatever names you may give scientifically and medically all these are sprit. The bible calls them demons, because their main work is to cause sickness and destruction. Any living a thing that cannot be seen is assumes biblically to be a spirit, and this is the starting point for spiritually healing.

 

GETTING DEMONS OUT OF THE BODY BY LAYING HANDS
Sicknesses are the manifestation of demonic actives; the level and state of sickness depend on the type of demon that present. Getting them out of the body by laying of hands was first demonstrated by our lord Jesus Christ.
“Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with diver disease brought their unto him: and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them (Luke 4:40).

Diver’s disease was healed by the lord Jesus Christ through laying of hands as the scripture revealed, there is no exemption to the type of disease, and Jesus healed them all.

As a born again Christian, the command is also for you to go out, lay hands on the sick, and healed them. ”and these sign shall follow them that believe: - in my name shall they cast out devil. … They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover” (Mark 16: 17-18).

The power to lay hands on the sick and heal them has been given to all genuinely born again Christian as revealed in Luke 10:19, “ behold I give unto you power tread on serpent and scorpions.. ‘ .

The power is for truly sanctified and Holy Ghost filled believers (Act 1:8). If you are not in this category of these believers, endeavor not to try lay-hands on the sick, so that your case will not be like that of the Jewish vagabond in (Acts 19: 13-16).

 

THE PRACTICAL OF HEALING
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet saying, himself took our infirmities, and bare our sickness (Matt 8:17).

The principle and practice of laying hands lies in the above scripture. Christian means, Christ alike, a genuine Christian must act, talk and do things like Jesus. He must have the mind of Christ and be ready to suffer the same as Christ

Jesus Christ is our burden bearer, he was able to heal the sick because he prepare himself and made his body ready to carry our sickness and infirmities. Laying of hands to heal the sick involves making your body an alternative avenue for sickness. Demons are being without physical body, they always (sort) for a body to dwell. Whenever they possess a body, they hardly leave until they destroy it.

To get them out of their location, sometimes may require you provided an alternative location for them. This Jesus did, using his body as an alternative location for sickness and infirmities.

The bible said in Luke 10:19”…..and noting shall by any means hurt you”. Do not be afraid of the sickness, they cannot do you anything, the blood of Jesus as giving you immunity against them, ………. And with his stripe we are healed” (Isaiah. 53:5).

Your body will only work as an instrument to remove the sickness out from the sick. The sickness will not stay in you because you have the fire of the Holy Ghost burning in you to destroy them
