RAISING THE DEAD

 Matt 10:8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give.

Raising the dead is one of Jesus principles of winning soul; it gives deeper conviction about preaching on the resurrection of the dead.  People really need to see in order to believe, you cannot be talking about resurrection without having anything to show as a proof.

It is certain that all believers must resurrect at the coming of the lord, but is preaching and teaching based on the scripture reference enough proof to convince the people.

As you know, people hearts are so hardened; they need something concrete to convince them that is why Jesus has to embark on the act of raising the dead to proof that if the dead can be made alive now, it is not a big deal even at the end of the world.

Jesus was able to make people believe in the resurrection of the dead through the miraculous act of raising the dead.  This he has transferred to us, in Matt. 10:8 he dead, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out demons.

This if not just a command but a transfer of anointing, and this was made possible by the coming of the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8, “And ye shall receive power after that he Holy Ghost is come upon you.

THE POWER OF RESURRECTION
John 11:25
Know that the same Jesus that goes up, is the same that comes back as the Holy Ghost, He is the power that gives life.

Having the Holy Ghost in you is having Jesus in you, and having Jesus in you means having the power of resurrection and life in you.

Having Jesus in you gives life and also empowered you to give others life also.  The power to resurrect the dead is hidden in Christ, that is in you, giving you the power to do all that Jesus did while on earth and even more, John 14:12, “Verily, Verily I say unto you

BY MAN ALL DIE, BY MAN CAME ALSO THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD
1 Corn. 15:21-22
Remember, most of the death that occurred came by men, e.g., motor accident, food poison, diabolical killing, murder etc.

If death were caused by men, so also Christ has empowered man to rebuke the death, having been to the grave, take away power from the dead, and giving you the power to dread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, John 10:19.

You shall arise and take charge, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons and win more soul for Christ.

THE PRACTICED
Though Jesus commanded us to heal the sick and to raise the dead, but one thing is sure, not every dead will rise again.

Some people died as a result of their sins and inequity, while some died as a result of old age, and some died prematurely as a result of this world wickedness which we categories as: Ritual killing, Diabolical killing, Sickness, Suicide, War etc.,

Generally, when men died they are not expected to come back to life again, especially those that don’t know God before they die, the bible says: for it is appointed for a man to died ones after that judgment. Though God out of his infinite mercy may consider some of them for living, as He God is not interested in the dead of a sinner, but to call them into repentance.

Whichever way we must put it in our mind that not every dead must rise again.

THE CHOSEN
How do we know who God has chosen to rise again and live, even after they have been pronounced dead by the doctor?

The bible says, “Rom 9:15 For he said to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion”,
There are some people that received mercy from God, even in dead God will raise them again, and there are some people whom their assignment in this world is yet to be completed before their died.

Most of this people will always see the gate of heaven shut against them after their dead. God is not interested in half done job, He delight in full completion of assignment before coming to Him, so that no man will have an excuse before him.

If God give a believer assignment to do in this world, He expect perfect completion of the assignment. If devil or death try to stop him or her from completing the assignment, God will protect, preserve or raise him back to life in case of death.

God always use two ways to raise the dead back to life, the first way is through his omnipotent power by causing the dead person to come back to life miraculously even after they have been confirmed dead by the doctor.

We have had many cases of believers retuning back to life after death, this God do by his own power without any human interference. If God mercy is upon any one that died, God will close the gate of heaven to such a person and returned him back to life for completion of his assignment.

Do not get me wrong it is not every one that did not fulfill or complete his or her assignment will come back to life, as I said earlier, some derailed or backslidden Christian that forsake the ways of God may not receive mercy from God as the wages of sin is dead.

But it pleases God to have mercy on whom He will have mercy, and whatever He does he do for his own pleasure. But all we know is that God has through His omnipotent power returned some believer back to life after death.

The second way God raises dead people to life is through his Children (The born again Christian). The lord Jesus Christ said: “Truly, truly, I say to you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to my Father” John 14:12.

This commission was giving to every child of God that believe, it is a transfer of anointing to them that believe on the lord. Anointing to heal the sick cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and to cast out devils.

This was declared in the book of Matthew 10:8 that: Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give.

As a child of God that believe in the lord Jesus, it is a challenge and a command to you. The work of raising the dead is now in your hand, for the fact that you believe in the lord, you have been chosen.

It is on record that God uses so many of his servants and children to heal the sick and raise the dead. The task has fall on your shoulder now because the word of God says: (OCCUPY TILL I COME).
